We think you will find this is a pretty unique page.
You can read below all the comments that have been made in the guest book this year. We have produced them in full and unedited. Some are critical but most are very complementary...We feel that it is a fairly bold thing to do, but we also feel that it tells you that we are honest and genuine. We also think it will give you invaluable information from people who have stayed in the flat before and help you decide if this is the holiday for you.
We value the comments made by our guests and you will see that where a shortcoming has been pointed out we try and correct the problem.

However we are working on some ways to overcome this problem. But if you are looking for a quiet loction you probably need accommodation on the edge of town or in a village.. |
| 18 June 2006 | Pam and Gary | We enjoyed: cliff walks, Bankes Arms Studland, Breakfast on the Balcony, well eqipped apartment, Bird life on the cliffs, great views. We did not enjoy;Wobbly bed, noise from night club, shower cubicle too small, arrangements for collecting the keys/directions. All in all we enjoyed our holiday, but would have been happier to know about the noise from the club before we arrived. Some prior information would be good. | 1. We will be replacing the double bed for 2007. 2. Unfortunately we cannot do much about the shower cubicle. We feel it is a standard size. However for those of you who need a larger shower this may not be the flat for you. 3. We no longer use booking agents and all bookings are direct through us. Key arrangements are a lot simpler and easier now. We will issue clearer directions to all guests from now onwards. 4. We appreciate that for some people the noise of folk in the road late at night may be disturbing, however many do not and it is probably a matter of personal taste, so we have decided to set up this visitors comments page so that you get prior information on the flat....warts an' all from the people who count...people who have used the flat. |
| 23 June 2006 | Madeline Masser | Lovely flat, beautiful views. I was born in Swanage and come back every year with my mother. I will never stay here again the noise from bar one was horrendous. We had 6 nights of virtually no sleep & we are leaving a day early because of it. I can't believe they are allowed to operate until 3am. It must be awful for you, Graham and Anne to have to hear the noise comment over and over again. Have you approached the police with these concerns? Its disgraceful. | With regard to the club please see our comments above. We use the flat ourselves and do not find it horrendous or awful, but we are very sorry Madeline that it has caused you and some of our other guests discomfort. We will be referring your comments to the council and police as I am sure that more can be done to make the environment quieter. |
| 01 July 2006 | Mr and Mrs Longman | The flat is absolutely wonderful & cannot be faulted in any way, However we feel as elderly people (over 80 years old) that we should have been prewarned of the noise of the night club going on until 4am and the terrible screaming when young people get their taxis. | We note your comments about the warning and so have priovided this page. We find that some people over 80 find the noise causes upset and others do not. Similarly younger guests also comment on this. In my experience the noise of concern is from folk in the road and not usually loud music. |

Nice to have books CDs and DVDs etc on offer. Only concern was the video keeps chewing up tapes. Reaaly enjoyed myself in swanage it was nice to sit on a balcony. Great attention has been paid to the layout decoration and provissions of this flat shame about only on lift key. Had a great time | Dont worry...we have now replaced the video player.
